La ciudad de Bolonia desde la Torre Asinelli (Bolonia, Italia)

Con sus 97 metros de altura, la Torre Asinelli constituye una privilegiada atalaya desde la que se contempla toda la ciudad de Bolonia. Esta torre es la más alta de las que aún se conservan, si bien en la edad media llegaron a existir casi un centenar de ellas. Tenían caràcter defensivo, pero eran tambien símbolos de poder.

With a height of 97 meters, "Torre Asinelli" is the best place to contemplate the city of Bologna. It is the highest tower of those that still remain in the city, though in the middle age there were almost a hundred of them. They had a defensive character, but were also symbols of power.

Bolonia es la capital de la región italiana de la Emilia-Romagna. Es conocida como "Bolonia la roja", entre otras razones, por el color de sus tejados y fachadas. Tiene uno de los mayores y mejor conservados cascos históricos de toda Europa.

Bologna is the capital of the italian region of Emilia-Romagna. It is knowed as "Bologna the red", among other reasons, because of the color of its roofs and fronts. It has one of the major and best preserved old historical towns of the whole Europe.
